Academia Colonial offers private one-on-one Spanish classes with our experienced instructors online via Skype. The same certified instructors that teach every day in our Spanish language immersion school in Antigua are available to teach you online, on your schedule, and in the comfort of your own home.

Whatever your level, from absolute beginner to advanced conversationalist, our online classes can greatly improve your Spanish rapidly. In contrast to the typical classroom based learning environment where the student is rarely engaged in any true form of discourse, our online classes consist of an hour or more of constant interaction and conversation. If you are a beginner, you start with baby steps, but you will be speaking the basics after your very first class.

Customer QuoteI’ve been trying to teach myself Spanish for some time. I tried Rosetta Stone and several other programs. It was a slow process. What I lacked was accountability. Finally, I found Academia Colonial. Their online lessons provided that missing piece. I now had a personal instructor who could correct me on the spot (in a encouraging way). The online lessons have been reasonable, and convenient. It’s almost as good as being in Antigua and, in some ways, better. With Skype (free video/audio online service), you can text as you’re talking, giving you the added help of insuring your spelling is correct as well. I highly recommend Academia Colonial.

Another QuoteI was tired of trying to learn how to speak Spanish without actually speaking to someone - it made no sense. It's like learning to fly, why would you choose to learn on a simulator if you had the chance to fly a real plane for the same price? People have conversations with people, not computers ...
